Hold onto your ghost shells, Guardians! It’s time to gear up and get ready for the latest raid in Destiny 2 – the Root of Nightmares. This heart-pumping challenge is not for the faint of heart, as it’s attached to the epic Lightfall expansion. And just like every other raid, it’s going to be a mad dash to see who can complete it first!
Bungie has just unleashed the rules for this thrilling race, and let me tell you, they’re a bit different than what we’re used to. They’re giving players an extra day to snag the “day one” contest emblem and achievement, and there are a few broken exotics that you’re going to have to leave behind. But don’t let that get you down, Guardians. You’ve got this!
So, here’s the lowdown on the Root of Nightmares Raid Race: The start time is set for 9 AM PST, 12 PM EST, Friday, March 10, 2023. You’ve got a solid 48 hours to tackle this behemoth of a raid, as the end time is set for 10 AM PST, 1 PM EST, Sunday, March 12. Make sure you’re power level is at least 1780 (hard power cap is 1800, pinnacle is 1810) – and don’t forget, the raid is in contest mode for those first 48 hours, which means you’ll be kept at a -20 under power level at any level 1780 or above. But don’t worry, Artifact Power can count towards getting you to that minimum level.
And let’s talk about the World’s First Rules. To claim the title of the first fireteam to complete the Root of Nightmares raid, you’ll need to loot the final chest, have your entire fireteam return to orbit, and then get your clear confirmed by Bungie. And what’s the prize? A coveted raid belt for everyone on the team!
So, Guardians, are you ready to take on the Root of Nightmares raid and show the world what you’re made of? Let’s get out there and fight for glory!
Attention all Destiny 2 players! Brace yourselves for the latest update regarding the banned exotic list. Unfortunately, these exotics are currently plagued with various issues such as damage, ammo, and ability problems. You can try to equip them, but I warn you, the exotic perks won’t work, and they’ll drag your power level down. The following exotics have been placed on the ban list:
- Grand Overture Exotic Machine Gun
- Fighting Lion Exotic Grenade Launcher
- Winterbite Exotic Glaive
- Jötunn Exotic Fusion Rifle
- Hierarchy of Needs Exotic Bow
And that’s not all, Guardian. The following armor and mods have also been banned:
- Citan’s Ramparts Titan Exotic Gauntlets
- Thread of Ascent Strand Fragment (also disabled across the entire game)
- Empowered Finish Armor Mod
Now, don’t let this get you down. There’s still plenty of excitement to be had in the upcoming Root of Nightmares raid race. You can tune in and watch the action unfold on Twitch, as they host a Twitch Rivals event that will be giving out some emblems to viewers.
If you’re planning to participate, be warned that you only have two days to beat the raid in contest mode. Once the reset occurs on Sunday, contest mode will be gone, and you can over level for the raid as per usual. So, prepare yourselves for the challenge, Guardians! The Master version of the raid will launch later on, and it’ll essentially be permanent contest mode at -20 power, which is quite the change from past seasons.
Now, you’re all set to dive into the Root of Nightmares raid, so gather your fire team, don your gear, and get ready for an exhilarating adventure like no other!
