How (and why) to tweet via Twitter

Other options
Using the ads.twitter.com dashboard is the most direct way to schedule tweets, but you can also choose to use one of the third party options, such as Hootsuite or Tweetdeck, which is owned by Twitter. Hootsuite will allow you to schedule content for various social media channels – LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc. – where TweetDeck allows you to schedule only Twitter posts.
Both are great alternatives to the ads.twitter.com dashboard, but you’ll have to pay to use some of the premium features available from Hootsuite. Tweetdeck, on the other hand, is a free tool, but like the ads.twitter.com dashboard, it can only be accessed through your desktop or mobile browser.
